FAQs
Frequently Asked Questions
The incision is made in the natural crease of the upper eyelid, so any scar is hidden and becomes virtually invisible once healed (typically within 2-3 months).
While the specific cyst is permanently removed, new chalazia can develop in other glands. If you are prone to recurrent chalazia, Miss Khanam may recommend ongoing lid hygiene and warm compress routines.
If the excess skin is obstructing your visual field (functional blepharoplasty), it may be covered by private medical insurance. Purely cosmetic blepharoplasty is typically self-funded.
The results of upper lid blepharoplasty typically last 7-10 years or more, as the excess skin does not return quickly.
