Treatment
CAIRS – Allogenic Corneal Rings (KeraNatural)
CAIRS uses sterilised human donor corneal rings (KeraNatural), implanted with a femtosecond laser, to reshape the cornea and improve vision in keratoconus — a minimally invasive, tissue-friendly alternative to corneal transplant.

CAIRS / KeraNatural™ is an advanced, relatively new procedure and is not reimbursed by most insurance companies, although corneal transplantation is generally recognised. Because the KeraNatural ring is made of donated, sterilised corneal tissue rather than plastic, some insurers consider CAIRS in the same category as keratoplasty.
Your individual fee depends on whether one or both eyes are treated and whether collagen cross-linking is combined with the procedure. A full, personalised quotation — including investigations, scans and facility fees — is provided at your consultation.
